Alex Gonzalez hit his first home run for the Braves since his trade to Atlanta, giving them a 1-0 lead over the Reds in the second inning. In the fifth, however, following a two-out RBI triple by Brandon Phillips, Gonzalez boots a ball that allows Phillips to score, and the Reds win the game 2-1. Tommy Hanson pitched an outstanding game, lasting 7 1/3 innings with one walk and five strikeouts. Edinson Volquez got the win, despite walking five batters in five innings. He’s walked 13 batters in his last 11 innings.
