The Brewers defeated the Cubs 18-1 Monday night. That’s the fourth time this season Milwaukee scored at least 17 runs in a game. It’s only been accomplished five times by other teams this year. Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder supplied a lot of the offense, combining for a 10 for 14 night, each collecting five hits. Yovani Gallardo struck out 12 in his six innings of work, allowing one run and lowering his ERA to 2.71. It was a night that the Cubs will want to forget as soon as possible.
