Complete Romero

Ricky Romero pitches a complete game two-hitter against the Yankees. He got off to a slow start, walking Jeter and giving up a home run to Mark Teixeira. He only allowed one more hit the rest of the way as Toronto bombed the bombers with four home runs for an 8-2 victory. Romero struck out just four, as the Yankees were 2 for 25 when putting the ball in play. Jose Bautista hit his 33rd home run, and that leads the majors.

The Rays are winning 6-3 late, so the Yankees could be in second place by the end of the night as they still look for their first August win.
