The Orioles win Buck Showalter’s debut, defeating the Angels 6-3. Luke Scott homered, but more importantly, youngsters Matt Wieters and Felix Pie hit well. Wieters banged out three hits, driving in two runs, while Pie collected two, each doubling. If Showalter can get the young talent on this team hitting, he’ll have done his job.
