Edwin Wins

Edwin Jackson makes a very successful debut for the Chicago White Sox, allowing one run over seven innings of work in a 4-1 Chicago win. He allowed nine hits, but showed great control, walking one and striking out six. Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin hit home runs in support.

Jackson’s walk rate was back to the levels of his career through 2007 this season. If the White Sox can get him to issue fewer walks, he’ll turn out to be a great pick up for them.
