Lucky Thirteen

The Twins get a win against the Rays as singles by Joe Mauer and Delmon Young move Alexi Casilla around the bases to score in teh top of the 13th inning. Casilla drew just the fourth walk of the game for Minnesota. Despite out-hitting the Rays 10-5, the Twins just couldn’t score much as the teams combined to go 2 for 25 with runners in scoring position. The Twins win 2-1, and the Rays and Yankees are once again tied for first place in the AL East, while the Twins keep pace with the White Sox.
