Table Setter Night

The Phillies and Marlins saw the top of their orders do a great job of getting on base Wednesday night. The 1-2-3 hitters for Philadelphia combined to go six for 11 with four walks. The same group for the Marlins went eight for 13, but did not draw a walk. The difference in the game was that the Phillies were able to clear the table, getting five runs scored from their top three batters, while only one run came from the Marlins trio and their eight times on base. The Phillies end up winning a blow out 7-2.
