Trade Working

The Pirates trade for James McDonald worked out well in his Pittsburgh debut. He held the Rockies scoreless for six innings with an impressive one walk and eight strikeouts. The offense gave him plenty of support as the Pirates win 5-1.

McDonald struck out plenty in his short time with the Dodgers, but was wild, walking 40 batters in 76 2/3 innings. If he’s solved that problem, the Pirates picked up a very good pitcher.
