Unfortunately, when he got into trouble in the eighth, the bullpen could not stop the bleeding and a 4-0 Orioles lead became a 4-4 tie. Matt Wieters came through with a lead-off double in the ninth, and pinch runner Julio Lugo came around to score on a Maicer Cesar Izturiz single for the win.

Watch the young players like Arrieta and Wieters under Showalter. The failure of this group to improve this year doomed Baltimore to their terrible record. Getting them back on track is key to turning the franchise around. So far, so good for Buck.
