    No big deal, but the Nats’ right fielder Bernadina did it a couple weeks back. I think it was Oswalt’s first at-bat for the Phillies. As you say, playing very shallow was the key.

    Yeah, and to be fair to Kendrick, as soon as he hit that ball he put his head down and ran hard. He wasn’t even beat by just a step. It was at least 2 or 3 steps.

    But he isn’t slow! I mean, he didn’t look like Crawford out there, but far from a Molina. Just great positioning, a sharply hit liner, and a good hard accurate throw.
