Pitching Efficiently

Both Cliff Lee and David Price made it through the first two innings without allowing a hit. Both faced just six batters, as a caught stealing wiped out Price’s walk to Elvis Andrus. Lee, however, is working much more efficiently, throwing just 15 pitches to Price’s 35. That’s why Cliff is able to go so deep in games, and Price is averaging just 6 2/3 innings per start.
