The Phillies put a the Giants a game back in the NL Wild Card race with a 9-3 win. Jimmy Rollins, Raul Ibanez and Carlos Ruiz combined for five hits, five RBI and four runs scored. The picked up Chase Utley, who went 0 for 5 in his return.

Roy Oswalt showed great control, walking none and striking out seven in his seven innings of work. He did allow two home runs, however, his first allowed with the Phillies.
