The Major League Baseball Player’s Association filed a grievance on behalf of Francisco Rodriguez:

The Major League Baseball Players Association is challenging the Mets’ decision to place the closer on the disqualified list and their effort to convert his contract to a non-guaranteed deal.

The union announced it was filing a grievance Wednesday. If the case isn’t settled, arbitrator Shyam Das would decide whether the team’s actions were justified.

This should be an interesting battle.
