Bailey’s Wick

Homer Bailey made it two good games in a row since returning to the Reds rotation, holding the Dodgers to one run over seven innings in the 3-1 Reds win. In thirteen innings of work since returning from the minors, Bailey walked two and struck out ten, giving up just one run. He’s also struck out more batters than hits allowed, seven.

With seven wins in a row since getting swept at home by St. Louis, the Red extended their NL Central lead to 4 1/2 games. The Cardinals lost their fifth straight, falling to the Giants 6-3.
