Big First Hit

Eduardo Nunez picks up his first major league hit in the top of the seventh. His single drives home the Yankees fifth run and breaks a 4-4 tie with the Mariners. He owns a career .318 OBP in the minors, but in the last two seasons he’s posted one in the .340s. He’s moving in the right direction.

Derek Jeter follows with an RBI single of his own and the Yankees lead 6-4.
