The Evil Player program selected Juan Miranda as Friday’s evil player. At age 27, no one is knocking on the Yankees door to trade for the low power first baseman, and his way to a regular job with the big club is blocked by Mark Teixeira. Yet, in his short time in the majors he’s homered once every 20 at bats and walked every ten at bats. He’s Ike Davis with more power. He’s not going to be a great player, but that some team hasn’t found a use for him is evil.
