Closing the Sale

Chris Sale gets his first save as the White Sox win 6-4. He walked two batters and struck out two, but did not allow a hit. The second strikeout was needed due to an almost great play by Mark Teahen. With men on 1st and 2nd, a hard grounder was hit to Teahen near the bag at third. He stepped on third for the force, but he rushed his throw and pull Konerko off the bag at first to extend the inning.

The Indians picked up more hits and walks in the game, but Chicago out-homered them 3-0. Manny Ramirez went 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch in his White Sox debut, but didn’t figure in the scoring.
