Charlie Morton walked on and struck out nine in his six innings against the Marlins, but takes the loss as Florida wins 2-0. In 18 innings over his last three starts he walked two and struck out 18, allowing eight runs. If he can keep up those BB and K numbers next season, he’ll have some success.
That’s nice to see. He really struggled earlier this year. A trip to the minors and Pittsburgh’s change in pitching coaches seems to have helped him.
