Tim Lincecum used a recently developed slider to baffle the Braves Thursday night.

Lincecum said he and catcher Buster Posey did not devise a game plan around the slider.

“I was reading the guys’ swings in the first inning,” Lincecum said. “I got a couple of strikeouts with it and decided to go with it.”

That’s just what the National League needs, Tim Lincecum with another out pitch. 🙂
