Terry Collins is trying to answer questions before the press asks:

According to Harrington, Collins says he named Mike Pelfrey the opening day starter and Jose Reyes the team’s leadoff man in order to eliminate questions about what their roles would be.

It’s a good strategy for the new manager, but I’m sure the New York media will find plenty of annoying questions to ask.
