Lillibridge Too Far

Brent Lillibridge should get the save in the White Sox 3-2 win over the Yankees. After Rafael Soriano blew the 2-1 lead in the eighth, Derek Jeter led off the ninth with an infield single. Curtis Granderson bunted him to second, and Mark Teixeira walked. Alex Rodriguez hit a hard line drive to the wall in right, but Lillibridge went back and just got to the ball for the catch, runners holding. Then Robinson Cano hit a line drive to right, and Brent made a diving catch to snare that one, ending the game. Great defense on the part of the White Sox rightfielder to ensure the win.

    Stunning.
If it happened in September I’d be tearing my hair out. Because it’s April I was at least able to appreciate the acrobatics.
