The Cubs knockec out 17 hits Thursday afternoon as they downed the Mets 9-3. That matches the team’s high hit count for the season, reached on April 16 and May 11. Kosuke Fukudome hit his first home run of the season. That prompted my dear friend Jim Storer to call and ask if Kosuke Fukudome married Corey Koskie, if he would be Kosuke Koskie? 🙂
