It’s been a good afternoon for home runs so far, and the Astros did their part, hitting four long balls against the Cubs as they won a slugfest 12-7, with seven of their 12 runs coming on the homer. Carlos Pena hit the only Cubs homer of the day, but Chicago did manage two triples.

The Astros bullpen came into the game with a 4.71 ERA, but allowed just one run in five innings of work. That made the difference in the game, as both starters allowed six runs, and neither lasted five innings. With the Astros winning their 20th game, the Twins are the only team in the majors not to reach that milestone.
