The Rays allowed the Twins to come back from a 5-2 deficit, only to score seven runs in the last two innings to beat Minnesota in a blow out 12-5. Sean Rodriguez hit a two-run homer in the eighth and Evan Longoria hit a three-run shot in the ninth as par of a late inning, seven hit attack. Tampa Bay salvages one game in the series as they head for New York for a four-game series against the Yankees leading into the All-Star break. If New York loses tonight, then a Rays sweep would move them into a tie with the Yankees.
