Missed Opportunity

The Royals shut down the White Sox as they take two out of three with a 4-1 win Wednesday afternoon. Bruce Chen allowed four hits and three walks in his six innings of work, and the Royals bullpen gave up just one hit while striking out four in their three innings.

The White Sox came into this series in contention, and had a chance to move up more in the division if they could sweep the lowly Royals. Instead, they score just nine runs in the three games and allow 13. If they really want to reach the top of the AL Central, it’s important to pick the low hanging fruit.
