Putting the 0s in Moscoso

Guillermo Moscoso pitched seven shutout innings to lower his ERA to 2.16 as the Oakland Athletics defeated the Mariners 2-0. The Oakland starter walked one and struck out five, a good day for him as his walks and strikeouts tend to be in balance. Scott Sizemore had the big day at the plate with two hits, including a solo home run, and two RBI.

Jason Vargas pitched a complete game loss. That’s the fourth CG loss for the Mariners, the most in the major leagues. Oakland and Toronto have three each.
