Tighter AL East

The Yankees fall to the Rays 5-1 while the Red Sox blow out the Orioles 10-4. That puts Boston into first place, 1/2 game ahead of New York, with the Rays 3 1/2 games back.

I’m really happy to see the Rays doing well this season. There was a lot of gloom and doom after they jettisoned their bullpen and allowed their first baseman and leftfielder to leave via free agency. The starting pitcher core was strong, and because of that they still had enough good offensive players to win games.
