Grand Comeback

The Cleveland Indians score five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, the last four on a grand slam by Travis Hafner to defeat the Blue Jays 5-4. Carlos Villanueva pitched six shutout innings, walking two and striking out seven. The Jays bullpen gave Toronto two more shutout innings before Frank Francisco and Luis Perez combined to blow the game. Jose Bautista added his 29th home run in the top of the ninth, making every run count in Hafner’s blast. Hafner is now 5 for 8 on the season with the bases loaded with two doubles, a home run and 13 RBI. He also hit a sacrifice fly.
