The score might have been larger, but 15 of the 17 hits went for singles, as Josh Hamilton it a double and a homer, the only extra-base hits for Texas. Two represents the fewest extra base hits in a game in which a team collected at least 17 hits.

With five wins in a row for Texas and four losses in a row for LAnaheim, the Rangers extend their lead in the AL West to six games. While the Angles still own the best pitching/defense in the league, allowing 3.80 runs per game, they are only scoring 3.85 runs per game. Texas, on the other hand, is nearly a run better than their opponents per games, scoring 5.16 runs and allowing 4.20. This division should be a run away for the Rangers, and it’s finally moving that way.
