Bruce Chen pitched a gem as the Royals defeated the Indians 2-1 Sunday afternoon. Chen pitched into the eighth inning, walking two and striking out four, but holding the Indians to just five hits. He’s been a bright spot for the Royals this season with a 10-5 record and a 3.94 ERA.

Justin Masterson pitched another quality start, giving him 19 on the season. He won nine, lost three and earned no decisions in seven. He’s won less than half his QS in 2011.
