I’ve always been a fan of the 70’s/80’s Astros look and even liked the original Tampa Bay Devil Rays colorful designs a bit… but I absolute hate this new Marlins coloring AND font style. It’s not even good enough to be considered cheesy. It’s like a 7 or 8 year old designed it.
One thing I’ve always liked about the Marlins since day one, is that gorgeous teal color… it’s unique to them, and feels like a tropical happenin’ place like Miami. When I think of their histoy, I see their World Champion teams in black & teal. They really need to keep that.
Mmmmm… I wouldn’t be surprised if they redesign & recolor themselves in 5 years or less.
I hope they do it in 1 year or less.

It perfectly says “Miami subway system”.
But, kudos for the Marlins for finally getting a geographically right name. Now if only the St. Petersburg Rays can follow suit.
That’s bad.
It looks like a 1970’s era NASL logo. Not that the NASL actually had another era than the 1970’s…

Joseph J. Finn » Thank you! Yes, it screams transit system. It’s the New York Metro.
