Shake Your Tail Feathers

Brad Peacock makes another fine start, shutting out the Phillies for 5 1/3 innings as the Nationals extend their winning streak to five games with a 6-0 victory. Peacock pitched to contact, walking two and striking out two, but allowed just one hit to lower his ERA to 0.75 in 12 innings of work. That’s a pretty tasty cup of coffee. If the Nationals can win five of their last six games, they’ll end the season one game over .500.

This also gives the Phils a 6 game losing streak. I’d say ouch, but… they already clinched their division & got a big lead for home field (if they didn’t clinch that already too). I say let ’em lose & let ’em rest a bit… get everybody in “spring training” mode ’til October 1. I’d like to see the Phillies win another series this year.
