Austin Jackson strikes out on four pitches to start the game. Nova then throws a curve ball that drops right into Don Kelly‘s uppercut for a home run, and then Delmon Young takes the next pitch out of the park as well. The Tigers lead 2-0.

Update: Jim Leyland seemed to start Kelly because he was hot. It certainly worked, as Kelly is hitting .500 in the series. Nova gets Miguel Cabrera swinging and Victor Martinez to ground out, but the Yankees find themselves in an early 2-0 hole.

Update: Nova gave up 10 of his 13 home runs this season at Yankee Stadium.
