A one-out Brett Gardner single and a two-out Curtis Granderson walk put runners on first and second for Robinson Cano. Fister rarely walks batters, but he put the tying run on here in the bottom of the third.

Update: Cano fouls off a few 3-2 pitches, then sends a ball to deep center. Austin Jackson brings it in for the third out, and the Tigers lead the Yankees 2-0 after three innings.
