Will We See CC?

Alex Rodriguez leads off the fourth with a walk. As he does so, CC Sabathia warms up in the bullpen. Does this mean CC won’t start game one of the ALCS?

Update: Nick Swisher hits a one-out single to put runners on first and second.

Update: Jorge Posada fouls off a number of pitches, then lines a single to center to load the bases. The Yankees are working Fister hard, as he’s thrown 72 pitches with one out in the fourth.

Update: Russell Martin pops up to first, two out for Brett Gardner with the bases loaded.

Update: Gardner gets ahead 3-1. The count goes full, and Gardner fouls off a pitch, then pops out to third in foul territory. Fister works out of a huge jam, but the Yankee work him hard as he is up to 82 pitches on the game. The Yankees just can’t get the big hit so far in the game.

Wow, what if the Yankees need 14 or 16 innings tonight to beat Detroit? That’s always a possibility, especially with Fister being hot the past couple months. He’s giving them no chance to do a long game.
