Close, but No Cigar

Mike Napoli singles to center leading off the top of the sixth, just an inch out of the reach of a charging Austin Jackson. The Rangers get the lead-off man on for the second inning in a row. It looked like Jackson could have caught that ball.

Justin Verlander comes back to strike out Nelson Cruz swinging for the first out.

Update: David Murphy hits a fly ball into the gap in right-center that neither Austin Jackson nor Ryan Raburn could reach, although Raburn came close. Napoli ends up at third on the double, as Mike had to hold up to see if the ball was caught. One down.

Update: Sorry, was called to dinner. Verlander walks Mitch Moreland to load the bases, then gets Ian Kinsler to ground into a double play to end the inning.
