Playoffs Today

The Rangers and Cardinals play game two of the World Series Thursday night in St. Louis, with Colby Lewis facing Jaime Garcia. Lewis pitched much better on the road than at home this season, allowing just 13 of his 35 home runs on the road. That hasn’t quite been true in the post-season so far. He pitched exclusively on the road so far, and while he’s been tough on batters (.271 OBP allowed), four of the nine hits he allowed went for extra bases, three of them home runs.

Garcia also pitches in a more comfortable local, getting the start at home. Even in the post-season, he’s been excellent in his two starts at home, poor in his one away. The Rangers hit left and right handed pitchers equally well this season, getting on base a little more against lefties.

Enjoy!
