South Side Sox remembers Bo Jackson on the anniversary of the injury that ended his football career, and eventually his baseball career.
I remember touring new Comiskey Park in the early 1990s, and we were told about the water tank that Bo used to rehabilitate his hip. He started running in the tank, with his body mostly submerged. As his hip improved, less water filled the tank, until Bo could support his own weight. It turned out to be a great tool for Chicago, as it cut down recovery time for other players with leg injuries.
