Court side seats for the Lakers versus the Knicks on Friday are going for $10,000. I watched most of the Knicks at Washington, and there was a huge cheering section at the game for Lin. There are a lot of Harvard graduates in D.C. My dad called at halftime, as he was watching Lin closely for the first time and he was impressed.
I was impressed with how well Lin passed with minimal looks. He knew where his teammates would be and put the ball in their hands. When he played at Harvard, he was perfectly willing to pass the ball to gain the best shots, but he was also capable of taking over the shooting game if the others went cold. The Knicks are seeing both those abilities now.
I don’t know how long this will last, but I’m enjoying the spectacle.
