Cold, Dead, Hands

James Crabtree wrote both Astros owner Jim Crane and Major League Baseball about leaving the revolver off the Colt .45’s throwback jerseys. He just shared with me the response from Crane:

Jim Crane to James Crabtree

Jim Crane responds to James Crabtree about the lack of a revolver on the Colt .45's throw back jerseys. Used with the permission of James Crabtree.

I’m impressed that an owner is willing to take a position opposed to MLB. With the upcoming move to the American League, Astros fans are not very happy with the commissioner’s office, and the uniform issue is one more thing to dislike.

Way to go Capt. Crabtree. Action Counts Today and I also strenuously object to this whitewash of history. MLB needs to address this. At least the owner is being frank with you.

MLB is a private entity and they have a right to take that position–just as fans who think their position is idiotic have a right to express their extreme displeasure at MLB distorting history to pander to the gun-phobics.

Way to go Captain Crabtree! Leave it to a United States Marine to get the job done. Thank you for speaking up.
