Morales Still Out

Kendrys Morales was supposed to make his major league spring training debut today, but soreness postponed his appearance in a game:

The spring major-league debut of Angels slugger Kendrys Morales has been postponed at least until Thursday when the Angels play host to the Cincinnati Reds because of slight soreness in his lower right leg near the shin and calf.

Morales said he felt the pain after taking three at-bats (0-for-3) against the Chicago Cubs’ triple-A squad in a game on Monday at Fitch Park in Mesa, Ariz. He was scheduled to get between four and six at-bats.

“There was pain yesterday (Monday) but it’s a little better today (Tuesday),…” said Morales, pointing just to the side of his right shin. “The only thing left is for me to get healthy.”

After all this time, no one is going to complain about a couple of more days.
