The Mariners recorded two hits with runners in scoring position to break their four-game zero in that area, but it wasn’t enough as the Rays win 5-4. Kyle Seager drove in all four runs with two homers, but the bottom of the Rays lineup collected five hits and four RBI.
The Rays remain in first place in a bit of an upside down AL East in which the Yankees and Red Sox stand fourth and fifth, respetively. The AL East is turning out to be a five-team race. Very nice.
