Carp Just Misses

Mike Carp hit his first home run of the season in the Mariners 5-2 win over the Twins. It came too late, however, to join the “I homered before Albert Pujols” club. The Mariners already held a 3-0 lead when Mike hit his solo shot, and Seattle would go on to score five runs off Nick Blackburn in six innings as Nick’s season continues to go badly.

Hector Noesi, however, took advantage of the weak Twins offense. He allowed one run in seven innings to cut his ERA to 6.30.
