Jim Pohlad gave his manager and general manager a vote of confidence:
Minnesota Twins owner Jim Pohlad says manager Ron Gardenhire and GM Terry Ryan aren’t in danger of losing their jobs despite the team’s poor record.
Pohlad told reporters before Monday’s game at Target Field that he had “100 percent confidence” in both men.
I don’t really think Ryan is in danger. He hasn’t been back in charge long enough to make a real difference. Gardenhire is the one who should be worried.
I’m a big Twins fan, and I really don’t think Gardy is the problem. On the other hand, as Bill James once wrote, at some point the question is not whether you’re the problem. The question is whether you can be part of the solution.
