The Texas Rangers lost Alexi Ogando to his injury:

The Texas Rangers on Tuesday put right-hander Alexi Ogando on the disabled list because of a strained right groin and promoted left-hander Michael Kirkman from Triple-A Round Rock.

The Rangers had hoped Ogando could avoid a trip to the DL but changed after consulting with team physician Dr. Keith Meister. Kirkman is a candidate to take Ogando’s spot in the rotation on Saturday against Houston.

Along with the league getting used to Yu Darvish and the injuries, the Rangers are coming back to the pack. This should make for a more interesting AL West race.
