The WBC decided not to suspend any players for the Mexico/Canada brawl. I suspect they did not want to hurt Canada in their game against the US, and with the US win, Mexico is out of the tournament anyway.

I suspect some people will be more upset at the misuse of “hopefully.” 🙂

I don’t have a problem with this decision. It really wasn’t Canada’s fault, and punishing their players would be unfair going into a winner take all game.
