Homer Bailey comes out for the eighth inning against the Giants with a no-hitter intact. He walked one and struck out eight, throwing 89 pitches. Hunter Pence, Brandon Belt, and Andres Torres are due up.

Update: Belt hits the first pitch in the air to the rightfielder for out number two.

Update: Torres hits a fliner to center for the third out. It was a low pitch innings, Bailey at 96 pitches. He should have a lot left in the tank for the ninth as he goes for his second no hitter.

Update: Bailey threw his no hitter last Sept 28th. That was also the last no-hitter in the majors.
