Not Ready for Prime Time

Drew Pomeranz continues to disappoint at the major league level. He walked five in four innings Saturday night as the Diamondbacks pounded the Rockies 11-1. Drew only struck out two, bringing his total for the season to nine walks in 8 1/3 innings with seven K. He’s allowed three home runs in that time, so two of the three true outcomes rate as horrible. It’s tough to believe the Indians won this trade, but Ubaldo Jimenez has only been miserable. Drew even gave up a three-run double to the opposing pitcher, Wade Miley.

The Diamondbacks reversed their slump, and after winning four games in a row lead the division by 4 1/2 games over both the Rockies and the Dodgers.
