The Voting

It took awhile for the BBWAA to get the vote results onto their website. Here is the AL voting and the NL voting. I’m somewhat surprised Bartolo Colon received as many votes as he did. It seems the writers only hold PED use against a player when voting for the Hall of Fame. I’m also impressed that someone voted Anibal Sanchez first. Sanchez had a great season, but injuries limited his innings. Anibal and Scherzer were even in K rate, Max a bit better with his walk rate, but Anibal much better in terms of home runs allowed per 9 IP. I think the innings should be a deciding factor, but I have no problem with someone seeing that differently.

Matt Harvey and Zack Greinke received some love in the NL despite their injuries. Either might have given Clayton a run for his money had they been healthy over the full season.
