No Saving Sheets

Evil player Ben Sheets had his bullpen turn evil on him Wednesday night. He left the game after six innings with a 6-4 lead over Baltimore, but the Oakland bullpen gave up five runs over the next two innings and the team fell 9-6. The Orioles bullpen did a great job with four scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out four.

The Orioles have won five of their last six games, in which they’ve scored 39 runs. They’ve allowed 29, so they’re not exactly pitching well, but a 6.5 runs a game offense covers a lot of flaws.
